Obviously, we are not only here to talk about the benefits of renting private jets, how they represent the epitome of wealth, opulence and exclusivity, the various amenities, or the health advantages associated with them. We also want to offer you something concrete by outlining the various types of private jets from which you will be able to choose the aircraft that fits your needs, your personality, and your travel the most.

At Globini, we believe that it is always better to have a wide variety of options. While private jet charter will provide you with all the necessary comfort that you seek, not every private aircraft is able to offer the same things.

Some jets are too small to have an on-board bathroom and private bedrooms, or to seat a flight attendant. Other aircraft are too large to land on certain runways and at smaller airports.

This is why we want to discuss the different types of jets, what they have to offer, and what type of aircraft could be best suited to your travels.

Private jet charter can be divided into six categories: light jets, super-light jets, mid-size jets, super-mid-size jets, large jets, and ultra-long-range jets. These categories were created as such, based on passenger capacity, range, and the size of the aircraft.

Super Light Jets

While super-light jets can have the same passenger capacity, they offer larger accommodations and a more spacious alternative than their light counterparts. They constitute a step up from the light jets in terms of range, size and comfort.

They effectively offer more cabin space, larger baggage capacity, and most super-light jets have a range spanning between 1700 and 1900 nautical miles, or between 3150 and 3515 kilometers give-or-take, making them a great and viable choice for your private charter needs.

Light Jets

Light jets are one of the most common types of private aircraft chartered for business flights. Most clients chartering light jets have an average travel time of 2-3 hours. Consequently, light jet charters perhaps constitute the most reasonable short-haul solution.

Most light jets carry up between six and eight passengers, possess average cruising speeds of 440 mph (approximately 709 km/hr), have an average range between 1100 and 1900 nautical miles, or approximately between 2037 and 3515 kilometers. Thus, light jets can carry you to your destination efficiently and rapidly.

With the exception of a very select few, most light jets will come with an on-board lavatory. On the other hand, baggage and luggage storage capacity may be somewhat limited, and often cannot accommodate large equipment.

Mid-Size Jets

If you feel that both light and super-light jets will not take you far enough or do not offer neither the adequate accommodations nor the amenities required by you and your friends and/or business associates, then the next option available is a mid-size jet.

These types of jets offer a great balance of efficiency, comfort and performance for medium-length flights, have a bigger range and fly faster than the two aforementioned types.

Mid-size jets can fit up to 9 passengers, possess a 500-mph average cruising speed (about 805 km/hr). Their range also span between 1300 and 3000 nautical miles (approximately 2408 and 5556 kilometers).

Other sizeable advantages that mid-size jets have over light and super-light jets is the availability of full private lavatories, alongside external baggage storage alongside internal baggage compartments. Some of them, only have internal ones, which can limit baggage capacity and storage space.

Super-Midsize Jets

Needless to say, but super-midsize jets boast superior range and size than all previously mentioned jet types. Additionally, they offer an enticing middle ground between midsize and large jets.

On top of that, they are about as cost-efficient as midsize jets whilst offering added features. These features may be: on-board Wi-Fi, and larger, roomier cabins.

Super midsize jets can fit up to 10 passengers and travel on average at 500 to 600 mph (approximately between 804 and 965 km/h). They also have an average flight range of 3041 nautical miles, or up to 8 hours of non-stop flight.

When it comes to extended travel time, and accommodating less than a dozen passengers, super-midsize jets could be the optimal solution at your disposal.

Large Jets

By opting for large jets, you are actually opting for the most comfortable executive aircraft available for long-range flights, because of one key reason: despite the fact that they are large, they are still compact enough to land on small airports that cannot be accessed by commercial aircrafts.

Large jets also offer a large variety of amenities: onboard Wi-Fi, full private lavatory, electronic entertainment systems such as stereo DVD and/or Blu-Ray players, satellite phone, and guaranteed external baggage compartments.

They can carry up to 16 passengers, travel at an average speed of 530 mph (approximately 853 km/h), and some large jets can travel up to a staggering 6000 nautical miles (more than 11100 kilometers). This is the equivalent of travelling from the American West Coast to the easternmost parts of China!

To top it all off, flight attendants will cater to your every need by providing you with gourmet catering and providing additional safety and comfort.

Ultra-Long-Range Jets

Those types of jets really take it to the next level; they are capable of flying up to 6700 nautical miles (almost 12410 kilometers), or up to 11 hours of non-stop flight time!

Ultra-long-range jets can carry almost twenty passengers, offer an enhanced experience, and provide increased safety, comfort and luxury.

Depending on the aircraft mode, baggage compartments have the ability to contain up to 100 suitcases. Most, if not all ultra-long-range jets, include a full bar, premium catering services, and private rooms, alongside a private lavatory, Wi-Fi service, and various electronic entertainment systems.

In other words, ultra-long-range jets will provide an exceptional comfort to you and fellow passengers.
